In a potentially huge development, sources close to Crypto Banter have alerted us to the fact that crypto’s top developer, Andre Cronje, is reportedly planning a return to the space.
Andre’s recent decision to step away from DeFi shocked the community at large, and while this is not yet confirmed, he has allegedly told close friends that he’s keen to continue his work with Solidly, which describes as the ‘best code he’s ever written’, as well as Rarity, a composable NFT architecture project.
Again, this remains speculation, but Wonderland founder and frequent collaborator Daniele Sesta’s late-night tweet, which read (spelling is correct), “The prodigal son is making a return!”, and which was deleted within minutes of being published, could suggest he knows something the rest of us don’t.
After the FUD surrounding his sudden departure saw prices drop across a range of Andre-associated projects, including FTM, KP3R, and Solidly, all have been showing incredible strength in recent days, which could suggest the rumors of his decision had begun to surface.
We have of course reached out to Andre for comment, and will report back with any new updates. Suffice to say, we’ll be following up with any updates as soon as they come in. Watch this space!
Banter’s take
We always believed Andre would return to the space, but we didn’t expect it to be so soon. Clearly, this is still unconfirmed and Andre could yet change his mind, but if it pans out, it would be a huge victory for us all. Crypto needs the geniuses to stick around, and we’d be beyond thrilled if Andre decides to do so.
